hey, I contacted a few places in Mendoza re: accommodations from Jan 3/4 - 5/6. One place (see link below) emailed me back saying they had rooms available and the rate is $269 (AR) a night, which I think is like $50 US. I think that nytimes.com had this place listed on the their travel site. mixed but mostly good reviews on tripadvisor.

Has consistently good reviews on tripadvisor, apparently a great location and pretty basic accommodations. I think I saw this in Lonely Planet.

ReplyDeletehey, I am making some big assumptions based on conversations w/ everyone so far... but we should continue to discuss dates. many of us want to head to Mendoza right after BA, so I was figuring we'd take the red eye bus on Jan 2 or 3, and we'd stay two-three days in Mendoza. so I'm asking about Jan 3-6 (or thereabouts). we can definitely tweak this as needed. right now I am asking about four double rooms, just waiting to hear from you guys re: uruguay. I bet we can wait till next week or so to book...
